Hi, I’m
Liza Maximova.

In the industry since 2012, I’ve been a barista, a roaster, a green buyer, and a logistics manager.

I’ve volunteered on farms in Costa Rica, spent weeks at the cupping table in Panama back in 2013 (before it was mainstream), solved logistics nightmares, and managed production roasts at 6 AM.

Since 2019, I’ve been a Q Grader—but I care more about what’s in your production batches than what’s on a score sheet.

Production roasting and consistency are my obsession. My goal is to bring everything I’ve learned—and continue to learn—into the unglamorous world of daily production, solving the real-world challenges that happen on the roaster floor.

I don’t just consult; I help you build a "sensory library" through specific exercises designed to sharpen your perception. My own palate is a work in progress—I’m currently learning about the worlds of niche perfumery and working on my sommelier WSET 3 to bring even more nuance to my clients. For me, staying curious is the only way to stay sharp.

Fixing profiles, building QC systems, and knowing how to get to the flavor you need.
